How Will You Celebrate Graduation?

The house is really quiet.  Although it's been six years, I still can watch my daughter sleep...she's a cutie!  The hubby is asleep too.  After all these years, he's still SO regimented.  It was such a treat for us to have our date day/night at the Jazz Fest.  Sidebar: At the Jazz Fest, there is something to say for planning your set up.  People were serious with their tarps, tents, and chairs :-)  I have to remember the tarp for next year.  Anyway, my favorite performance was Stephanie Mills...she never disappoints!  By the way, what a surprise to see Anthony Anderson as host.  He kept us entertained with the funny!  I enjoyed good music, nice weather, and great company...

It's been a minute since I expressed my thoughts in a post.  My life has been busy and full...and for that I give Thanks!

Graduation Cap
Homemade Graduation Cap/Tassel
We’re approaching the end of the school year where my daughter graduates from Kindergarten.  The time has flown by, at least that is how it feels.  Her school does not have a formal graduation for Kindergartners, and that’s OK.  However, I wanted to have a mini end of year celebration for them, so I organized and coordinated with her teacher.  They’ll get cupcakes and I’ll make their caps/tassels for the pictures.  The kids will love the sugar, of course...and the parents will love to take pics of their kids in their regalia.

My husband gets a kick out of how proud I am to make the caps/tassels.  My daughter - well it goes without saying, she is only looking forward to cupcakes!  I contend that when she’s a young adult, she’ll appreciate all of the crafts her Mommy has done for all of her events, including birthdays, play-dates, holidays, and graduations.  Not to mention the fabulous scrapbook pages capturing the memories :-)

Whether it’s preschool, Kindergarten, High School, or College, how will you celebrate graduation

Thanks for reading!

  2. This gives me the idea to give my little guy cupcakes everytime he graduates. He's in second grade now so I still have most of the graduations to do this. Hope I remember!
