An Affinity for Elf Culture

Each year, we try to plan a couple of musicals/plays to attend.  Over the past weekend, we visited the Kennedy Center to see Elf, The Musical.  I absolutely love and enjoy the theatre! The timing of the play was perfect too, as we made this an early Christmas gift for our daughter.  Not to mention, the essence of the show reminds us of the holiday season!

Attending musicals/plays yearly, I hope to create really cool memories. For sure, my daughter loves getting dressed up and going out.  She was really excited to sport her cheetah print dress; and didn't forget to color block.  My little fashionista!!!

Overall, the play was really cute and my daughter loved it! Surprisingly, she hadn't seen the movie (with Will Ferrell)…thought I'd save that for our Christmas Eve movie this year. Aside from the singing / dancing, I think her next favorite part was intermission … only because we got a chance to take a quick selfie, get a snack, and buy her a snow globe with Buddy. I generally collect magnets or mugs, but the little one has her own collection of snow globes...her Papa started her collection by getting her a snow globe every year for Christmas.

We had a blast…great times make for great memories!

    1. Thanks! I think next year I'm going to try to get tickets to see The Nutcracker. I bet she'll love that too!

  3. Oh, I love this! My favorite Christmas memories as a child were the events surrounding it with my mother (Daddy was not a fan of that sentimental Christmas stuff and protested going), like holiday musicals and breakfasts with Santa. This is so special and will be things she remembers forever! My best friend took me to see Elf as a my Christmas surprise this year...what a treat! I don't know if the same cast remains trough the entire tour or if each city has its own case, but the production was fabulous. So glad that you enjoyed that together.

    1. Yeah, I wondered the same in terms of the cast. I think it changes depending upon availability. Whatever the case, it seems as if they give a great show no matter where it is...so glad you enjoyed the show!

Great friends are awesome...and not because of material things, etc. How cool was it for your friend to surprise you. What a memory you guys will share for years to come!

Thanks for visiting me and I look forward to checking you out online soon! :-)
