Well friends, I’m returning to share my time at this year’s Scraptoberfest 2015 held in Bridgeport, CT. Marking their 10-year anniversary, St. Vincent’s SWIM Across the Sound supports families by providing cancer education, screening, and prevention programs at low or no cost for the under/un insured. It’s a worthwhile event, where you not only support a great cause, but have fun enjoying scrapbooking, card making, food/goodies and bonding with other crafters (family and friends).
It goes without saying that I have fun at this event. This year was no different…in fact, I was able to mix in more social media via Periscope (periscope.tv/DanielleASB). You can see my replays on Katch.
The overall highlight for this event is breast cancer awareness, celebrating survivors, and sisterhood. If you’ve read my prior posts at this event, you also know I enjoy winning raffles. Yesss! This year I won a Scent Glow Warmer! I am putting this in my new craft room (look out for a post showing my transition from my craft space to my craft room).
It also goes without mention that I got a little shopping in too. I bought a cute Christmas stamp set I look forward to using. I definitely plan to C.A.S.E the card below…check it out:
If you’re interested in joining us next year, please visit: St. Vincent's Medical Center and/or send an email to Scraptoberfest@yahoo.com … tell them I sent you…smile! If you happen to visit us next year, please be sure to look me up, I’d love to meet you!!!
How do you recognize breast cancer awareness? I’d love to hear from you…please feel free to share a comment below.
